Having regard to the above application against the Kingdom of the Netherlands lodged with the Court under Article 34 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (“the Convention”) on 17 June 2022,
Having deliberated, decides as follows:
FACTS AND PROCEDURE
The applicant’s details are set out in the appended table.
The applicant was represented by Mr G.J. van Der Graaf, a lawyer practising in Arnhem.
The applicant’s complaints under Article 8 of the Convention, concerning the decision to revoke his residence permit, were communicated to the Dutch Government (“the Government”).
Subsequently, the Government informed the Court that, by decision of 16 October 2025, the applicant had been granted a new residence permit, with validity from 7 March 2022 until 7 March 2027. For that reason, the Government requested the Court to strike the case of the list on the basis of Article 37 of the Convention. The applicant did not comment on this request.
THE LAW
In view of the above, the Court considers that the matter has been resolved within the meaning of Article 37 § 1 (b) of the Convention and that respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto does not require it to continue the examination of the application under Article 37 § 1 in fine.
Accordingly, the application should be struck out of the list.
For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,
Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases.
